This journey combines human achievement and nature with the world famous Leaning tower, the spectacular Carrara marble quarries and the charming city of Lucca with its amazing walls.
We leave Florence or your house /villa in Tuscany to reach the world famous Piazza dei Miracoli to admire the most beautiful and famous architectural mistake of the world, the Leaning (Bell)Tower of Pisa, and the wonderful Cathedral and Baptistry. You can have the possibility of visiting the buildings with previously-bought tickets. We'll then drive you to one of Bespoke Italian Tours-favourites: the marble quarries of Carrara. This is exactly where 500 years ago Michelangelo went to personally choose his marble blocks. We will drive you along amazing and still active shiny white open-air marble quarries with the possibility of joining an “inside mountain tour” too. Besides the location itself the views are simply outstanding. Lunch at your preference on the beautiful coastline below the Carrara area or in Lucca. Then reach the walled city of Lucca to discover its charm by either walking or renting bicycles. You also have the possibility of going along the top of the walls. We can mix-match your taste timings and itinerary where logistically possible.
This tour is possible also without reaching Carrara, making it shorter.
