Come and discover some of the world most famous red wines: the Supertuscans from Bolgheri. Great for experts but also those who want to start learning. Discover also the charming town and its surroundings.
Starting from Florence or your place in Tuscany, a full immersion into wines of the best quality. One and half drive from Florence, the charming town of Bolgheri is slightly up hill, reachable from what is considered one of the most beautiful roads of Italy: a straight long alley with centenary cypress trees for the whole way. Its surroundings, sandy terrains close to the coastlines, are covered in vines, whose owners, through time, became famous for the making of the best Bordeaux-style italian red wines.
Some are considered worldwide top class and got the unofficial appelation of SuperTuscans. On what is called the “Wine road” we can visit from one to three different wineries according to your will of knowledge. Lunch will be in the tiny but charming town of Bolgheri to combine the wines with some excellent food at the Enoteca Tognoni or one of the other great restaurants in town.
