SIENA & SAN GIMIGNANO
Visit two of the most fascinating towns of Tuscany:
the wonderful brick city of Siena, with its famous square, Piazza del Campo, and one of the most fascinating cathedrals of Europe, and the perfectly-preserved town of San Gimignano, also known as the “Medieval New York”.
Starting from your hotel or villa in the surroundings of Florence, approx. 1 hour drive to Siena, drop off in the main square of Siena (Piazza del Campo) and possibility of touring the city on your own. Better still, hire one of the excellent local guides we work with* to better appreciate the uniqueness of the marvellous cathedral and the whole city center, Unesco World Heritage site.
Lunch can be in a restaurant in Siena or discover some of the farms and wineries of Chianti on the way to San Gimignano. In the afternoon reach the amazing medieval town of San Gimignano, also known as the Medieval New York for its skyscraper-like towers, for a walk with your driver or on your own. A taste of a world champion gelato is a must here in San Gimignano!
